Before

The floating cabinets in this condo kitchen blocked sightlines and consumed the space, creating a heavy and overwhelming feel. The bland honey maple finish atop dark countertops and against a bamboo counter face came together in a monotone bulk. With casual rattan bar stools clogging the entry, this kitchen was in desperate need of a Naples Build project plan.

Following the client’s request to retain the original flooring, Naples Build worked within the footprint of the existing kitchen to bring to life this modern design. They first eliminated the upper cabinets, which opened up a spectacular view and brought in natural light. Then, with the addition of LED chip lights, they brightened the room without adding weight to the ceiling. The drawers are even lighted on the inside so they automatically turn on when opened. Custom handles on the appliance center, pantry, and refrigerator stylishly conceal the appliances. A wine cooler, icemaker, and microwave all hide behind new cabinet facing, and a custom hood with built-in lighting and glass panels is recessed into the ceiling to ensure that this kitchen looks clean and unobstructed. The free form quartz counter tops tastefully contrast the walnut island, diversifying the color palette and creating movement. Interesting and refined, this new kitchen achieves an aesthetic that vaults it into contemporary grandeur.
